henlo! ("we", "our", "us") operates the henlo! mobile application. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices.
Account Information. When you create an account, we collect your name and email address through our authentication provider (Clerk).
Pet Profiles. You provide your pet's name, breed, color, medical notes, and photos. This information is displayed when someone scans your pet's tag.
Emergency Contacts. You provide names and phone numbers for emergency contacts. These are shown to anyone who scans your pet's tag so they can reach you.
Pet Photos. Photos you upload are stored securely on Cloudflare R2 cloud storage and are associated with your pet's profile.
Tag & Scan Data. We record when and where your pet's NFC or QR tag is scanned, including the scanner's approximate location (if they consent), timestamp, and general device information. This helps you locate a lost pet.
Device Tokens. With your permission, we collect push notification tokens to send you alerts when your pet's tag is scanned.
We request camera and photo library access solely to let you take or choose a photo for your pet's profile. Photos are uploaded to our servers and are not used for any other purpose.
We use NFC to program your pet's tag with a unique identifier. NFC is only activated when you explicitly choose to program a tag.
These services have their own privacy policies and process data as necessary to provide their services to us.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your pet profiles and emergency contacts at any time through the app. To delete your account entirely, contact us at the email below.
henlo! is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us so we can delete it.
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us.
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the app or by email.
